I dedicate this page to Kimmie, my wee rescue dog, who came to live with our family at the age of 3 year’s old.
When we picked her up, she was nervous and shaking like a leaf. I really wondered if we had made the right choice. However, the moment she entered our home, she transformed immediately into a happy, tail wagging, loving, gentle wee character, who became my nightly lap companion for the next 17 years.
In her old age, she was known by all at our local veterinary clinic as “the creaking door”. Many, many times, at the latter end, Kimmie surprised everyone by rallying round even when there was almost no hope for her. Sadly she succumbed to old age and passed away peacefully on 28th October 2010.
Gone but never, ever forgotten.
In loving memory of KIMMIE – my “Wee Cookie Boo”
You will live on in my heart
my little friend so true,
and memories of you will fill my mind
until I go to you.
